Jerry Lang and Doris Bigio-Lang, Owners: As owners of House of Travel, Jerry & Doris have been in the travel industry for over 25 years. Not only have Jerry & Doris built House of Travel into what it is today, but they have started a new project, Before the Knot – an upscale destination bachelorette party planning company.  This dynamic duo reminds us & our clients that traveling, whether for pleasure or business, should be fun & stress-free. Thanks to Jerry & Doris, House of Travel agents love what they do & it shows. Daniela Mandowsky, VP of Corporate Sales: After 17 years at House of Travel, Daniela definitely knows how to handle the unexpected. Master of 5 languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian & Portugese), Daniela believes in the mantra, “see & experience to plan & recommend.” House of Travel corporate clients know they are always in good hands. Maria Cascante, VP of Corporate Sales: The Queen of multi-tasking, this VP of Corporate Sales is always going. Maria has a talent for truly listening to the client, building & maintaining industry relationships & providing superior customer service (this probably comes from her 27 years of industry experience). She is even a Space Tourism Specialist. Did you know travel is in Maria’s blood? Maria’s mother was one of the first females to own a travel agency in Cali, Colombia. It’s no wonder Maria is so good at what she does. Specialties: Corporate travel, travel to South America, travel to Colombia, meeting planning, incentive trips, tours in Colombia.

Michelle Lang, Destination Specialist, VP of Before the Knot: At a young age, Michelle was exposed to the luxury travel industry through her time at House of Travel. Inspired to translate the value of a travel agency into terms that younger generations could understand, Michelle, along with Jerry and Doris, created Before the Knot. From start to finish, Michelle helps bachelors and bachelorettes have the time of their lives in locales such as South Beach, New York City and Las Vegas. Carmen Sanabria, Meetings & Incentives Manager: Travel has always been Carmen’s thing. With 7 years of experience at House of Travel & a degree in hospitality, Carmen knows the ins & outs of each department. Moving her way up to corporate travel, Carmen’s specialty is not only meetings, but also the Latin American market. The craziness of meeting planning is a walk in the park for Carmen. Specialties: Corporate travel, meeting planning, incentive trips, travel to South America, travel to Panama, travel to Miami, travel to New York.

Gary Oakley, Quality Control Manager: Gary is House of Travel’s problem solver. As Quality Control Manager, Gary is responsible for special requests, troubleshooting, keeping our technology up-to-date & booking corporate & leisure travel. After 11 years in the travel industry, Gary does it all. Originally from Jamaica, Gary enjoys exploring new hotspots on Miami Beach, but his ultimate vacation would be to relax in the Seychelles. Gary is also the Director of Travel for Before  the Knot. Specialties: Corporate travel, leisure travel, travel to Las Vegas, travel to Miami, travel to New York, travel to Italy.

Julio Guerrero, Cruise Manager: If you have a cruise question, Julio is your man. As our Cruise Manager, Julio lives & breathes cruises. Whether you are interested in a quick trip to the Bahamas or a 21-day repositioning cruise across the Atlantic, Julio knows how to maximize your trip through his extensive cruising experience & stellar relationships with the cruise lines. Specialties: Leisure travel, cruises, cruises to the Mediterranean, cruises to the Caribbean, cruises on: Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, Seabourn Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruise Line, Crystal Cruises, & Carnival Cruise Line.

Jorge Duarte, Account Executive: With his humor, wit & 20+ years of experience as a travel agent, Jorge will dazzle you with his knowledge of leisure &  corporate travel, as well as cruises & consolidated air. Jorge, a Certified Travel Counselor, may have been born & raised in Miami, but he certainly knows where to go & what to do around the world. Specialties: Corporate travel, leisure travel, travel to Caribbean, travel to Dominican Republic, travel to Grand Cayman, travel to Jamaica, travel to Mexico, travel to Puerto Rico, travel to U.S. Virgin Islands, travel to Key West.

Cynthia Cohen, Account Executive: This corporate & leisure Account Executive believes the key to success is being completely devoted to what one does. Cynthia’s devotion to travel certainly shows in her pride for her work, utmost care for her clients & persistence in getting things done. Fluent in three languages – English, French & Creole – Cynthia is an expert in travel & specifically travel to Israel. Nora Howfield, Leisure Account Executive: Get ready to be amazed…Nora has over 35 years of experience in the travel industry! A speaker of both English & Spanish, Nora knows leisure inside & out. Outspoken & enthusiastic about travel, Nora can tell you about all the hot places to go. Tip from Nora: right now, vacations to Europe and Mediterranean cruises are in, along with honeymoons to Thailand & family Adventure by Disney trips. Specialties: Luxury leisure travel, travel to South America, travel to Latin America, travel to Europe, travel to Miami, travel to New York, Napa Valley tours, travel to West Coast of California (Pacific Coast Tours).

Zahava Landman, CFO: Enjoying anything to do with numbers, our CFO, Zahava, is responsible for all of House of Travel’s accounting tasks. Originally born in Lima, Peru, Zahava has been with House of Travel for 15 years (she actually remembers the date she first started here). Zahava speaks English, Spanish & Hebrew & continues to motivate House of Travel to keep in shape & join her at the gym after work. Specialties: Accounting, travel to Peru.

Maureen Winer, Office Manager: After 11 years here, Maureen certainly knows how to keep House of Travel running in tip top shape. In charge of visa & passport procedures, along with completing reservations & administrative tasks, Maureen does it all. If Maureen had time to do more, she would trot around Italy, where she enjoys great food & sees something new every time. Specialties: travel to Colombia, travel to North America, meeting planning.

Teresa Mendez, Logistics: Teresa is the woman behind House of Travel’s reporting requirements & pretty much any behind-the-scenes activity that makes a business function. Teresa, bilingual in English & Spanish, was born in Lima, Peru. This vivacious Peruvian as been a part of the House of Travel family for 13 years. Specialties: processing reports, travel to Peru.

Heather Bernstein, Marketing Manager: From public relations to promotions & advertising, Heather is our resident marketing guru. She not only ensures that our clients and contacts have up-to-the-minute information about House of Travel’s exclusive rates, receive recommendations for hotels and restaurants all over the world, and are entertained through our blog, HOTwtf, but also continues to giveaway fabulous gifts to HOT Insiders (sign up here!). Heather is also the Director of Marketing for our subsidiary, Before the Knot. Specialties: marketing, travel to Miami, travel to Las Vegas, travel to New York, travel to Atlanta, travel to Europe, travel to Thailand.

David Schloss, Online Marketing Strategist: As a self-professed “online marketing junkie,” David strategizes, executes, and monitors many of House of Travel’s online marketing efforts. He ensures the website is running smoothly, the blog is updated constantly, and that House of Travel is socially engaged with its clientele. He loves to read posts from TravelResearchOnline.com to keep his travel mind fresh. If David had free time, he would take a culinary tour of Italy and enjoy all the finest Italian food he could handle.
